My Island Girl :)

Hello there, today it is my turn for the DT post for The Stamp Spot and on my last post I previewed the 'seashell sarah' stamp from CC Designs ... I have used her again but this time teamed it up with The Alley Way Stamps 'tropic topic' set of stamps.  As per usual I have created a scene for her - this time I have paper pieced coconut tree from the tropic topic set, made a little rafia hula skirt for her and cut out the seashell she usually holds and instead made her hold a flower so that it looks like she is putting it in her hair ... just like a hula island girl!  I have then placed her on an island surrounded by water which I made using inverted scalloped scissors!
If you haven't entered by now you still have time to enter in this months challenge - great prizes up for grabs and a guest DT spot too and all you have to do is use any brand of stamp that The Stamp Spot has in your project ... check out the details HERE.
materials - Bazzill whirlpool, harvest, walnut, fawn cardstock, smooth white card, C’D aquamarine cardstock; Basic Grey ‘hello luscious’ papers; CC Designs ‘seashell sarah’ stamps, The Alley Way Stamps ‘tropic topic’ stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps ‘party animals 1' (title) stamp set; Crayola pencils; rafia; paper flowers; Kaisercraft pearls; Carl scalloped scissors

CC Designs 'seashell sarah'

Howdy folks - here is my DT post for The Stamp Spot.  Michelle has changed the way they do the monthly challenges and it is just too easy now to enter - simply use a stamp brand from any that she stocks in The Stamp Spot (it doesn't have to be the actual stamp just the stamp BRAND!), make a project using that brand and upload your entries HERE ... now that is one easy challenge.
This posting I preview a stamp from one of the brands that you can find in The Stamp Spot - it is from CC Designs 'seashell sarah' this is a great stamp and despite the large skin area it is very easy to colour as the stamp also comes with a picture of her already coloured and you can use that as a guide.
For this card I made a little scene and I even used coloured sands to give it more of a beach feel!
materials - Bazzill casa cardstock; AC white card; C’D tranquil blue, buttercup cardstock; Staz On black, Versa Color topaz inks; CC Designs ‘seashell sarah’, Kaisercraft beach houses; AnnaBelle Stamps ‘dotted flowers’ stamps; Crayola pencils; MFT chat bubbles and flat bottom clouds dies; coloured sand

Merry Christmas with Some ODD Girl

Hello everyone, we made it to South Australia and are currently on our way towards Ceduna and
Streaky Bay, it is hot, thirsty work pedalling!
This is a card for my DT post over at The Stamp Spot - I have used a non traditional Christmas stamp from SOME ODD GIRL and used it to make a christmas card ...
materials used: green cardstock; Kaisercraft ‘silly season’ papers; Some ODD Girl ‘thankyou Mae’ stamps, MFT christmas ornaments stamp and die set; Staz On black; Versa Color magenta inks; MFT hexagon dies; Crayola pencils; Making Memories 1/8" pink eyelet; 7mm split ring; Couture Creations glitzin’ glamour crystalina glue
Using the gorgeous christmas papers from Kaisercraft I made a little santa hat for my girl image.  If you visit my posting over at The Stamp Spot blog you can view a quick tutorial on how I made the Santa hat so you too can use any of your 'people' images to make Christmas cards.
The Stamp Spot blog has a monthly challenge going during October and it is just too easy to enter - simply make a stamped project using any of the STAMP BRAND NAMES that Michelle stocks over at The Stamp Spot.  She has stamp brands like Kaisercraft, The Alleyway Stamps, CC Designs, MFT, Some ODD Girl, Our Craft Lounge to name a few ... it doesn't matter if you use a different stamp from what she stocks AS LONG AS THE BRAND NAME IS STOCKED.
You can upload your entries HERE.
